Job Overview

Requirements

  • 5 years external compressed air OR capital equipment sales experience and territory management.
  • Minimum of 5 years dealing with and increasing organizational visibility within the industrial, manufacturing, food and beverage, mining, and medical industries through active networking.
  • At least 5 years’ experience on tender document completion, technical breakdowns, specializing in calculating costs saving, sizing of equipment and offering the best solution to engineers on site.
  • At least 5 years of negotiating compressed air/capital equipment projects with buyers and engineers.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clear motor vehicle record.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, convert leads to sales opportunities, and achieve sales targets.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Must be able to execute strategy and generate action plans for responsible area.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert/specialist on technical information for the sales of compressed air systems using complexed formulas and calculations to determine the sizing of equipment and cost saving to our customer base.
  • Generate leads and develop detailed sales plans to effectively penetrate accounts and achieve sales goals.
  • Travel to current and prospective customer sites within a designated sales territory to demonstrate and explain products and services, conduct needs assessments using formulas and calculation and solicit orders.
  • Recommend compressed air system products and services to customers based on their needs, interests, costs, and other technical factors.
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and calculations to potential and existing customers.
  • Review and discuss detailed design drawings, specifications, sizing calculations, cost saving calculations or lists related to compressed air system installations.
  • Negotiate prices and terms of equipment sales agreements.
  • Grow market and customer share for responsible geographical area.
  • Distributors: experience in dealing with distributors with regards to technical information, market share growth, territory coverage, closing of deals, building good relationships.
  • Record prospecting activity in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
